Two things about L.J. McLean: he’s a writer, and loves technology.
For writing being his escape from reality, he attended one creative writing class in Yucaipa, CA in 2007. First to break his grade school English grudges and research paper phobias, then create the building blocks for his debut novel, Mana Pool. He became a lead fiction editor for The Chaffey Review (Vol. 1 and 2), wrote several short stories in and out of NaNoWriMo, contributed to a few writing-centric websites, and a freelance editor to close friends.
Technology has been his edge. He graduated with honors for his Bachelors in Information Systems in Cybersecurity, specializing in small business network administration, tech support, security and network consultation, etc.
But writing, whether fiction or non-fiction, is where he’s at. His stories are visual works with relatable situations and adoring central characters, stretching familiar science fiction and fantasy elements to their limits.
He lives in Southern Nevada.
